Former cricketer said a big thing about Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling on the fifth day

England won by five wickets to take a 1–0 lead in the series.
Former Indian cricketer Varun Aaron has criticised Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling on Day 5 of the first Test against England at Headingley, Leeds. Aaron said the left-arm spinner failed to target the rough consistently and was often bowling too short or too full and fast.
Varun Aaron also said that Jadeja often pitched the ball between the wickets, allowing Ben Duckett to reverse sweep easily during England’s successful chase. Ravindra Jadeja took 1 for 104 in 24 overs in England’s second innings, helping the hosts win by five wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
Know what Varun Aaron said
Aaron said on Star Sports show ‘Follow the Blues’, “If we look at the footage more than the reverse sweep when Jadeja was bowling over the wicket, I would say he was missing the rough a lot. He either bowled very short balls or very fast or full. They were all pitching between the wickets, not on the rough.
He said, a player who is very experienced, who bowls very well in the rough, especially in Indian conditions where there is a lot of rough. And he has given many match-winning performances along with Ashwin. You expect him to bowl in the rough on the fifth day and give India a historic victory.
Earlier, Sanjay Manjrekar has also criticized Ravindra Jadeja for his poor bowling in the Leeds Test. He said that an impressive performance is expected from an experienced player. The pitch was favorable to Jadeja, but he could not leave his mark.
