I wanted to hold a scalpel. Now I hold strategy sessions.

Let me tell you a secret: I didn’t set out to be a digital marketer.
Not even close.

At one point in my life, I wanted to be a neurosurgeon.
Yes, you read that right: scalpels, brain cells, and saving lives.
But the dream ended instantly the day I discovered I’d have to work with cadavers. 💀
That was a hard no for me.

So, I pivoted.


Pivot #1: Learning a New Skill

I chose medical coding, something still in healthcare, but behind the scenes.
I studied. I got certified. I waited.

But after two years of trying (and failing) to land a remote job…
I had to face the truth: it wasn’t working.

Instead of staying stuck, I made a bold move.
I studied digital marketing, and that one shift changed everything.

I landed my first job. Then another.
And soon, I realized:

“I can build something of my own.”


Pivot #2: Starting My Own Digital Marketing Company

At first, I thought I could market for any industry.
And while that’s technically true, I quickly learned:

Trying to serve everyone is the fastest way to burn out.

So I asked myself:
🔹 “Where do I already have experience?”
🔹 “What industries do I actually understand from the inside?”

Two stood out:

Healthcare — thanks to my background in medical coding
Real estate — from my time working at an RV park in Texas

I’d seen the gaps. I knew the struggles.
That gave me a unique edge.

So I narrowed my audience, and that one decision made my work more focused, aligned, and effective.
