I Thought Success Meant Coding 10 Hours a Day I Was Wrong

🔥 My Early Belief: More Hours = More Progress

In the beginning, I believed this lie:

“If I’m not coding for 10+ hours a day, I’ll never become a real developer.”

So I pushed myself:

  • Skipped meals

  • Slept late

  • Refused to rest

And for what?

I was tired, burned out, and losing love for code.

🧠 The Shift: From Overload to Steady Growth

One evening, I closed my laptop and just… sat there.

I asked myself:

“Do I want to be a full-stack dev who’s always exhausted or one who grows sustainably?”

That day I made a rule:

Code 1 hour a day, no matter what.
Track my effort, not just output.

🔁 What I Do Now

  • Set 3 goals max per day

  • Take small breaks every hour

  • Celebrate completion, not perfection

  • Share updates even when things aren’t done

And guess what?

I feel more productive than ever.

💬 Real Growth Doesn’t Burn You Out

You don’t need to hustle harder.
You need to hustle smarter.

💡 If You’re Pushing Too Hard, Breathe

Growth isn’t about intensity.
It’s about showing up even on low-energy days.

Consistency > burnout.

✍️ Final Words

Your dev journey isn’t a sprint.
It’s a long-distance run and you need your energy to finish.
