QAHE Announces Accreditation of Key Programs in Mediation and Arbitration

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce the accreditation of two significant programs: the Intensive 5-Day International Civil and Commercial Mediation Training and the International Commercial Arbitration Program. These programs have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to developing critical skills necessary for resolving international disputes.

The Intensive 5-Day International Civil and Commercial Mediation Training has demonstrated outstanding merit in equipping professionals with essential mediation skills. During the accreditation review, several key strengths were identified. The program features a comprehensive curriculum that covers vital mediation concepts, including legal frameworks, procedural methodologies, and advanced techniques. It emphasizes practical application through role-plays and case studies, fostering hands-on learning experiences. Additionally, a strong ethical focus ensures adherence to best mediation practices, emphasizing neutrality and confidentiality. By addressing contemporary trends, such as hybrid dispute resolution mechanisms and technological advancements, the program promotes mutual respect and cooperation in international commerce.

Similarly, the International Commercial Arbitration Program has been recognized for its robust curriculum, crucial for preparing professionals for cross-border dispute resolution. Notable strengths include in-depth coverage of international treaties, national laws, and institutional arbitration regulations. The program provides clear explanations of arbitrator roles, neutrality principles, and procedural integrity. It systematically breaks down arbitration processes, including initiation, hearings, and enforcement of awards, particularly under the New York Convention. Furthermore, the curriculum emphasizes ethical integrity while incorporating insights into emerging trends and technological advancements in arbitration.

The faculty associated with these programs comprises highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in international arbitration and legal education. Many faculty members possess diverse legal expertise, being dual qualified as solicitors and barristers from recognized institutions across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, India, and Ireland. They hold advanced degrees, such as LLMs in International Business Law and Doctorates in Juridical Sciences (SJD), showcasing their commitment to legal scholarship. Additionally, practical experience in international arbitration, mediation, and corporate law enhances their pedagogical effectiveness, ensuring students receive high-quality education.

QAHE's commitment to promoting quality education and accreditation standards is exemplified through these programs, which prepare professionals to excel in the fields of mediation and arbitration. We look forward to supporting the continued development and success of these vital educational offerings.
