Arshdeep Singh is yet to make his Test debut for India. The India and England cricket teams are gearing up for the second Test, set to begin on July 2 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. In that match, the hosts successfully chased a challenging target of 371 runs, thanks in large part to a remarkable 149-run innings from opener Ben Duckett. Fast bowler Jofra Archer has made his return to Test cricket after a four-year hiatus and is included in England’s squad for the upcoming game at Edgbaston.

Arshdeep Singh: This is a significant boost for England, who are already missing key pacers like Mark Wood and Gus Atkinson. Meanwhile, India are expected to make changes to their bowling lineup following a disappointing performance in the opening Test at Headingley, Leeds.

According to a Times of India report, Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh was seen training ahead of the second Test match. The left-arm fast bowler worked closely with bowling coach Morne Morkel during India’s first practice session in Birmingham.

The report also noted that Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna did not participate in the training, despite being present at the stadium. Bumrah has already confirmed that he will play only three out of the five Tests during India’s 2025 England tour to better manage his workload.

Arshdeep Singh: This opens up the possibility for Arshdeep, who is yet to make his Test debut, to be included in the playing XI for the upcoming match at Edgbaston.
