Smriti Mandhana made a big record against the England women’s team at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Saturday, June 28. She became the first Indian woman batsman to score a century in all three formats as soon as she scored a century during the first T20. The left-handed batsman played an innings of 112 runs in 62 balls at a strike rate of 180.65, which included three sixes and 15 fours.
With this century, Mandhana has become the first Indian and Asian batsman to achieve this big feat. Overall, she is the fifth player to achieve this feat. Before Mandhana, Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont, Laura Wolvaardt and Beth Mooney are included in the list of women batsmen who have scored centuries in all formats.
During this brilliant innings, Mandhana shared a 77-run partnership with Shefali Verma for the first wicket, while she also shared a 94-run partnership with Harleen Deol for the second wicket.
India won the first T20 by 97 runs
Talking about the match, thanks to the strong batting and bowling of Smriti Mandhana and Shri Charani, India defeated England by 97 runs in the first T20. Batting first, Team India scored 210 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana scored the highest 112 runs, while Harleen Deol and Shefali Verma scored 43 and 20 runs respectively.
In response, the entire England team was all out after scoring 113 runs in 14.5 overs. Nat Siver Brunt scored the highest 66 runs for the team. For India, Shri Charani took four wickets, while Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav took two wickets each. At the same time, Amanjot Kaur and Arudhanti Reddy got one wicket each.
