Krishi Samvida: Bridging the Gap Between Farmers and Buyers

In today’s digital age, one of the biggest challenges in the agricultural sector is the lack of direct communication between farmers and buyers. This often leads to uncertainty in crop sales, price exploitation, and wastage of produce. To address this problem, I developed Krishi Samvida — a web platform that allows pre-agreements for crop sales, ensuring transparency and security for both farmers and businessmen.

🧩 The Problem

Farmers often:

• Don’t get the right price for their crops.

• Face last-minute buyer cancellations.

• Have no way to secure a deal before harvesting.

• Losing their crops for not being sold in time.

Buyers (like wholesalers or retailers) often:

• Lack direct access to farmers.

• Face issues in trust, quantity, and timing of crop delivery.

• Can't get the required product as per his/her choice.

• Have to purchase the product even if it is unprofitable.

💡 The Solution: Krishi Samvida

Krishi Samvida is a web application that allows:

• Farmers to list their crops (even before the crop is ready).

• Buyers to browse available crops and make pre-agreements.

• Secure digital contracts between both parties.

• Real-time updates and communication for deal tracking.

• Transparency between the farmer and the buyer.

• Update on daily basis.
