I Thought It Was Just a Movie

I remember watching Interstellar just a few years ago. There was that scene where Cooper tells the robot TARS to lower his humor setting — from 100% to 75% — because he was getting a bit too sarcastic. I laughed and thought, "Man, it’d be amazing to have something like that. Shame it's just science fiction."
Today, it's not fiction anymore.
We’re not walking around with boxy robots that can sprint across alien planets (yet), but the intelligence? The ability to understand, converse, and even joke — that’s here. Right now. You’re literally reading something written by an AI with capabilities that, in many ways, match what TARS could do — minus the arms and the military hardware.
That shift — from “maybe one day” to “this is normal now” — happened fast. And it’s only accelerating.
We used to dream about machines we could talk to like humans. Now we talk to them every day.
Welcome to the future.
