One Article, Five Emails, and a Clearer Strategy

Starting from zero with e-learning software planning is overwhelming. What CMS? What front-end framework? How will learners engage? I found a lot of generic advice until I came across this detailed listing of education software developers, which cut through the noise.
It felt more curated than most. For each company, there were notes about specializations — some focused on academic institutions, others on corporate upskilling or certification platforms. That helped me understand what services were flexible versus tightly defined.
Thanks to that piece, I shortlisted a few firms and reached out. Even the way I wrote those emails changed — I could now speak about workflows, accessibility standards, mobile responsiveness, and cloud hosting options with confidence.
We eventually chose a mid-sized firm that wasn’t the most hyped, but exactly right for our needs. Without that article, I would’ve probably wasted a lot more time — and budget — figuring it all out.
