Are Wigs Hot And Itchy In Summer Days?

To be honest, the first time I wore a wig in summer, I was almost persuaded to quit. At that time, I bought a full lace long hair wig. I felt very stuffy when I put it on. When the sun was exposed, my scalp began to sweat, and then it felt a little itchy and hot. I was restless all afternoon and almost pulled the wig off.
But later I slowly explored and found that not all wigs will make people feel hot and itchy, but whether you have chosen the right style and wearing method for summer.
Let's talk about the "heat" problem first.
My solution is - short hair + thin inner net + glueless design, the combination of the three is the best. Especially the lace design with a large area in the middle, such as 7x5 and 6x4, can leave a certain ventilation hole, which is much cooler than the one that covers the whole head. Or a v part wig or a machine-made half wig is also good choice.
Let's talk about the "itch" problem.
In fact, itching is mostly caused by sweat mixed with scalp oil, which is stuffy inside and causes bacteria to grow. Later, I switched to a light and breathable hair net instead of the traditional thick nylon hair net, and my scalp rarely felt itchy. And I would wash the wig every two or three days to keep the cap clean.
In addition, I have a good habit, which is not to directly contact the scalp under the wig. I will use a layer of hair towel or head cap, so that sweat will not directly soak the inner layer of the wig, and it can also reduce the itching.
Finally, I want to say that no matter how good the wig is, you must pay attention to "rest". I almost never wear a wig at home, and I only wear it when I go out, trying to give my scalp time to "breathe freely".
Wearing a wig in summer is indeed a big challenge, but it is not insurmountable. As long as you adjust the method and choose the right style, it can also become your little secret for summer styling.
