Hey there! I'm Hibby a developer, creative thinker, and tech enthusiast. This is the beginning of a new chapter where I get to document my journey, learnings, and lessons. I thought it’d be fitting to start with how it all began.

🌱 The Spark

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a developer. I was more curious than I was confident, always exploring how things work, especially in the digital space. What began as fascination with how websites are built slowly turned into a serious interest.

My first real “Aha!” moment came when I saw how code could create something interactive, beautiful, and functional. From there, I started experimenting with HTML and CSS and the rest is history (well, kind of!).

🚀 Learning to Build

I enrolled in a fullstack development bootcamp at Moringa, and that was a game-changer. I learned not just how to code but how to think like a developer. From debugging spaghetti code to shipping my first full React app, every project taught me something new about resilience, growth, and creativity.

🛠️ Projects That Shaped Me

  • Meal Mate – A CLI nutrition app I built from scratch using Python.

  • EduLink – A modern school website built with React + Flask.

  • Under the Starlit Flame – A beautiful camping site that combined HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a storytelling format.

  • My Portfolio – The very site you're likely viewing this blog from!

Each project wasn’t perfect, but they were perfect for learning.

đź’ˇ Lessons So Far

  • Consistency is more important than motivation.

  • You learn the most when you're stuck.

  • The tech community is amazing—supportive, generous, and inspiring.

  • Documenting your journey is part of the process.

💬 Why I’m Writing This

I want to share real experiences—not just the highlight reels. This blog will be a mix of tutorials, reflections, and notes from my day-to-day dev life. If you’re just starting, know that it’s okay to be unsure, stuck, or even scared. The key is to keep going.
