Weekly Update - 01

Introduction

Hey Friend, I am Harsh Patel. I have been building Shopify apps for more than 4 years now. I am good at building Shopify apps. And bad at marketing it, but eventually, I will learn how to market apps.

Work

This week is a roller coaster ride. Completed a major chunk of work at the start of the week and then started working on billing. Everything went smoothly, but requirements are very specific, and it was not aligning with what Shopify is offering, and for a public app, we need to use Shopify billing API.

Let’s see how it goes next week.

Marketing

I have replied to one guy who is posting related to marketing for the devs that I have a Shopify app with 6 free users and 0 Paid users.

He suggested to dm 100 merchants that this is my app and this is how it is useful, even if 1 got interested, you will get your 1st Download and feedback for the app. It’s a numbers game. I am hoping from one to another like jumping jumping.

Now, I think it’s time to stick with one and start doing serious work. will share what’s the update.
