It's like a North Star; it helps you find your way when you're lost.

The core values of a company are a good example, and you can use them to create your own core values.

After all these years, I've realized that having your own core values is really important. They help you understand what matters to you and make decision-making easier.

I keep my company's core values here to remind me from time to time.

H — Help Clients Succeed

  1. Understand what success means for our clients, not just what they ask for

  2. Speak up with honest advice, even when it’s hard

  3. Do what helps them win — even if it’s unsexy, unpaid, or behind the scenes

O — Own Your Work

  1. Take full responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks

  2. Finish strong and communicate clearly — meeting the high bar raised by AI

  3. Don’t say yes if you can’t follow through

L — Learn, Apply & Share

  1. Always be learning: English, AI tools and agents, certificates

  2. Use what you learn to work smarter and deliver better

  3. Share what works. Build our knowledge base

D — Deliver Excellence

  1. Set high standards for quality and clarity in your work

  2. Ask, “What would WOW the client?” — then build it

  3. Leverage AI in each step to verify excellence

S — Step Up & Evolve

  1. Take initiative — don’t wait to be told

  2. Try new things, even if you might fail; unlearn what no longer works

  3. Lead the shift: be AI-native, be useful, and be brave
