Myself Himaja, I'm a 3rd year B-Tech CSE student with a specialization in Cybersecurity. Until now, I didn’t really understand how things worked — but I’ve finally decided to take it seriously. This is my honest journey into tech, from the very beginning.

What made me start :

Having just 1 year to learn things for upcoming placements and just 2 years to complete my B-Tech journey making things overwhelming and lost . BUT !!! here's the twist I made -"To start learning as fast as possible and enjoy my learning process". and I'm here to share my journey.

What I have done so far :

I've started with python basics from my high school which is a part of my syllabus, and after getting into B-Tech, I've learnt c-language and html basics and some certificate badges in Networking Basics and Introduction to Cybersecurity.

What's Next

Right now, I've planned a roadmap towards cyber security that consists of 3 phases,

phase-1 - Core foundation (1 month)

  • oriented network basis

  • Linux fundamentals

  • cybersecurity basics

  • python basics

phase-2 - Skill building (2 months)

  • exploring cyber tools

  • mini role projects

  • Practice with Crackmes, learn x64dbg basics

phase-3 - placement preparation

  • creating portfolio and resume

  • mock interviews and internships

Final thoughts

I used to think I wasn’t “technical enough” to be in this field. But now I know — nobody starts as an expert. If you’re a beginner like me, don’t wait. Just pick a starting point and learn as you go. Your future self will thank you. I’ll be using this blog to track my progress and share what I learn. If you’re learning too, let’s grow together. Be here — I’ll keep posting updates as I go.

Zero to Tech — would be the name of my journey from clueless to curious in code and cybersecurity.
