New Zealand 26 runs vs England, 1955
New Zealand hosted England in a two-match Test series in 1955. The Kiwi team fell for just 26 runs in the second Test of the series, which is the lowest cricket score in test cricket history. They lost by 20 runs and an innings in that match. Bert Sutcliffe was the highest run scorer in that innings, scoring 11 runs while 5 batsmen were dismissed on zero.
West Indies 27 runs vs Australia, 2025
Recently, the West Indies team hosted Australia for a 3 match test series. In the third test match of the series, the Caribbean team was bowled out for 27 runs during the chase of 204 runs. Australia won the match by 175 runs. In this Match, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 225 runs in the first innings. In response, the West Indies could reach only 143 in their first innings. Australia took a crucial 82-run first-innings lead. But they again collapsed to just 121 in the 2nd innings. But the West Indies batsman couldn’t survive against Mitchell Starc's very first spell. Starc took 6 wickets while just conceding 9 runs. West Indies bowled out in just 14.3 overs. Justin Greaves was the highest run scorer in that innings, scoring 11 runs, while 7 batsmen were dismissed on zero.
South Africa 30 vs England, 1924
In 1924, England hosted a 5-match Test series against South Africa. The first Test match was played in Birmingham. England scored 438 runs in their first innings. In response, South Africa was bowled out for just 30 runs. Arthur Gilligan took 6 wickets while Maurice Tate got 4 wickets. After that, they scored 390 runs in their second innings, but despite all this, the African team lost the match by an innings and 18 runs.
South Africa 30 runs vs England, 1896
The South African team had previously been bowled out for just 30 runs in 1896 against the same opponent, England, before 1924. South Africa lost the match by 288 runs after scoring 93 and 30 runs in each innings. Four batsmen were bowled for zero, while Robert Poore (10) was the only one to reach double digits. In the innings, former England spinner George Lehmann claimed eight wickets for just seven runs.
South Africa 35 vs England, 1899
In 1899, South Africa hosted a 2-match Test series against England. The second Test match was played in Cape Town. England scored 92 runs in their first innings. In reply, South Africa scored 177 runs in their first innings and took a lead of 85 runs. England scored 330 runs in the second innings and set a target of 246 runs, but South Africa made 35 runs. In the second innings, England's Schofield Haigh and Albert Trott took 6 and 4 wickets respectively.
