What does freedom mean to you?

What does freedom mean to you?
Is it a day where you lay idly on your bed, drifting between naps and movies or cuddling up with your partner in peaceful silence? Maybe it’s a weekend getaway or a vacation where you feel so alive, unburdened and carefree. Or is it the moments at the beach when you take in the vibrant colors of the ocean and sky, watch the rhythmic crashing of the waves, breathe in the salty air and scent of seaweed, and feel the sand between your toes? It might be those quiet days where you are lost in the pages of a book oblivious to the noise of the world.
What does freedom mean to you?
Many see freedom as a powerful word, and sometimes almost unattainable. But I beg to differ. Freedom doesn’t have to be grand and dramatic, it could be little moments too, as long as we are at peace. Freedom for me is happiness without pressure, calmness in our chaotic world, peace of mind, freedom from the constant need to escape trauma, contentment and acceptance in who you are.
Freedom could be felt in a moment, a day, a weekend, a week or even longer. We’ve all had moments where we’ve lived without a care in the world. Those moments are what freedom looks like to me.
