The Rise of Prompt Engineering.

I'm an intern working at a software company, where AI chat assistants have become essential to my daily tasks. I use them for learning, guidance, and as a search engine. The frequency of my chatbot usage has increased to 10-30 searches daily. This heavy usage is due to faster processing, reduced time consumption, and the significant relief of having my workload shared with my AI assistant.

This journey began in my first year of college. During a seminar aimed at sharing knowledge and news for class engagement, a classmate excitedly mentioned a revolutionary technology that was the talk of the internet: ChatGPT. I thought, "What chat?" That was the first time I heard about an AI chatbot.

As time went on, the staff assigned a large amount of work. To complete tasks we were unfamiliar with, we would "Ask ChatGPT." Previously, we would input the entire work title into a search engine, gather points, create a passage, review it, and submit it. After ChatGPT was released, driven by the thrill of trying new things, I texted my work details to ChatGPT. The result? "What the hell is this thing?!" I was completely shocked. As time went on, It gradually became part of my study process, office work, and everyday tasks.

Now, I ask myself, "Why are AI tools rapidly increasing?" To understand this, let's look at the Dropbox success story. I learned about Dropbox's success from a YouTube video. In its early stages, the company created data storage and rented space to customers. Within a day of release, all available storage units were sold. The reason was that Dropbox solved a storage problem that everyone faced, but users didn't realize it was a problem. There was no direct solution with the technology available at the time.

Think of AI assistants as similar to Dropbox. The increasing capabilities of AI assistants have solved many problems, and the effectiveness of their solutions is improving. Born from simple binary tasks, AI has been refined through research in the 21st century. It is now used by business owners, for customer management, process management, task management, designing, editing, writing, developing, and even household tasks. The rise of AI and prompt engineering is making structural changes in the world.
