Midterm Started!! My Journey Before Midterm and Goals After Midterm.

Hey folks! 👋
It's time for a quick check-in—the Midterm Evaluation phase of GSoC 2025 has officially begun! I wanted to share how things have been going so far, what I’ve learned, and where I’m headed next. This journey with GFOSS (Open Technologies) has already been incredible.
Before Midterm: Learning, Designing, and Setting Up
In the first half, my focus was on building a strong foundation.
I designed the UI in Figma and got valuable feedback from my mentor.
Based on the feedback, I redesigned some sections to enhance the user experience.
Searched a suitable technologies for our application.
Backend structure for organization level application.
I explored and adopted Recoil, a new state management library for me. I took the time to learn it and integrate it properly.
I set up the project structure and built a stable base for future growth.
Weekly catch-ups and feedback sessions helped keep everything aligned and productive.
It wasn't just about coding—it was about understanding the problem, communicating regularly, and improving my design and development approach with each review.
After Midterm: Execution + Expansion
Now that the base is ready, here’s what I’m focusing on post-midterm:
Build out the complete application — functional, stable, and user-friendly.
Collect feedback from mentors and early users to iterate quickly.
Add new features that make the app more powerful and useful.
Stay involved in the GFOSS community — not just for the final submission, but beyond.
Support other contributors if I can, and remain active in chats and meetings.
This half is all about building and refining. I want to make sure what I deliver is clean, usable, and impactful.
To the Newcomers
If you’re reading this and thinking about doing GSoC next year — go for it. Learn, contribute, and stay consistent. I’ve written a beginner’s guide based on my experience:

Final Words
This isn’t just a project—it’s a transformation.
From writing that first proposal to now building something real, GSoC has taught me how to design, develop, and communicate better.
Thanks to my mentor, GFOSS, and everyone supporting open source.
Let’s build the second half with even more energy! 🔥
See you in the next blog..
Thank you so much..
