Akiva Schaffer, who co-wrote the script with Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, is the director of the forthcoming American action comedy film The Naked Gun 2025. It is a legacy sequel to Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult (1994) and the fourth film in the Naked Gun series. In the film, Liam Neeson portrays Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. On August 1, 2025, the film will be released in theaters across the United States.
