How to set up PayPal Merchant Services for small business owners

Sign up for a PayPal Business Account Go to the PayPal website and click on the "Business" option. Enter your business email address, and you'll need to select a strong password. Next, you will enter your business name, address, phone number, and type of business.
Add your Bank Account You will be required to link a business bank account to your PayPal merchant services account. Initial payments will be deposited into your business bank account. You can receive money and transfer funds between bank accounts. The account will most likely be verified by making small deposits into your business.
Set up steps for processing payments You will set preferences for how your payment, or money, is received. You can select whether to use invoice, checkout buttons, or subscription services. Since PayPal can also be integrated with a lot of online e-commerce retailers (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) you can set this part up at the same time there.
Verify and Safeguard Your Account Upload all necessary business documentation, such as your ID and business license or tax information, so you can remain compliant and reduce the risk of your account being suspended.
Test and Launch Once you are set up, make sure to test the payment flow. Once you've confirmed all is working, you can send customers your PayPal merchant services payment link or add a PayPal checkout button to your website, allowing you to securely and conveniently accept payments.
