RE Capital Completes Acquisition of Prime Oeiras Development Site from Novo Banco

Lisbon, 7 July 2025 RE Capital, a pan-European real estate investment and development leader, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of the Oeiras project site from Novo Banco.
Located in Oeiras, in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, the site comprises a licensed plot of approximately 93,000 m² with an above-ground Gross Construction Area of 82,000 m². Strategically positioned adjacent to key business and education hubs, including Tagus Park and Instituto Superior Técnico, the project offers significant potential to create a vibrant, multi[1]use neighborhood integrating residential, co-living, services, and retail components.
The masterplan, developed by Broadway Malyan envisions flexible, sustainable urban design responding to new living and working trends, while aligning with the highest ESG standards.
Newman Leech, CEO of RE Capital, commented: “The acquisition of the Oeiras project site marks an important milestone in our long-term strategy to invest in locations with exceptional growth potential. This project reflects our commitment to delivering forward-looking, sustainable developments that add meaningful value to the communities in which we operate.”
Nuno Vicente Santos, Head of Portugal at RE Capital added: “The Oeiras project is ideally located to benefit from Lisbon’s ongoing evolution as a key European innovation hub. We are excited to advance this project and create a dynamic environment that meets the needs of modern urban life.”
Legal counsel for the transaction was provided by PBBR, with Liberdade Capital acting as buy side advisor.
