A while back, I made a short post in LinkedIn about the improvements we were working on for urFIT-child.com. In this article, I’ll dive deeper into what we changed β€” and the impact it had.

πŸš€ Performance Boost on Heavy Content Pages

One of the most demanding pages β€” filled with embedded videos and downloadable PDFs β€” was completely rebuilt for speed and efficiency. We focused on:

  • Lazy loading videos and large media

  • Optimizing PDF links and preview loading

  • Compressing fonts and images

  • Leveraging static asset caching and preload hints

Now the page loads significantly faster, especially on mobile, with improved PageSpeed scores for:

  • LCP (Largest Contentful Paint)

  • CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift)

  • TTFB (Time to First Byte)

Updated urFIT-child mobile performance

We now match or outperform solid Webflow and WordPress builds like:

πŸ“ˆ Strengthening On-Page SEO & Accessibility

We focused on improving real-world SEO fundamentals with:

  • Semantic HTML (landmarks, headings, and ARIA roles)

  • Schema markup for researcher and calculator pages

  • Reduced unused CSS and JavaScript

  • Smarter internal links and canonical structure

We also improved our most visited and organically ranked page:
πŸ‘‰ Waist-to-Height Ratio Calculator β€” a research-driven tool used by health professionals and parents alike.

πŸ”§ Next Up: Rebuilding flamethefreeze.com

The next project on the table is flamethefreeze.com β€” a full redesign and performance-first rebuild. It will focus on:

  • Responsive-first design

  • Semantic, accessible markup

  • Lightweight assets

  • Structured data from the ground up
