Day 1: Starting My Blockchain Journey from Scratch

Today marks the start of my blogging journey as I embark on becoming a proficient blockchain developer. While I've had some experience in the space (including winning 1st place at Blockchain Nexus at IIT Kanpur), I'm approaching Solana development with a beginner's mindset, starting completely from scratch.

What I did today?

  • Solved few problems on Leetcode in C++, keeping my fundamentals sharp while diving into blockchain

  • During my free time at college, I dove into researching my learning path… Found few key resources like Alchemy University, Patrick Collins and Cyfrin etc…

  • Brushed up the concepts of React.js

  • Typescript and Anchor are on my radar for now.

Community Connections?

Had valuable conversations with people already working in the blockchain domain. The community aspect is incredible! Everyone's willing to help newcomers. This reinforced my belief that blockchain isn't just about technology; it's about building together.

The Journey So Far…

My blockchain journey began from March 2025, while I was preparing for Blockchain Nexus, but it took a CRAZY hike at a Stellar bootcamp in Nagpur. That event sparked something in me… the realization that blockchain technology is reshaping how we think about finance and digital ownership.

Why Am I Documenting This?

I believe my journey can provide genuine value to other beginners who might be facing similar challenges or wondering if this path is worth pursuing. Perhaps most exciting of all is the prospect of looking back at today's entry from Day 100 - imagining how different my perspective and capabilities will be after months of dedicated learning is both humbling and incredibly motivating.

Starting from scratch in a new domain can feel overwhelming, but it's also exciting. Coming onto this blockchain development path reminds me of Robert Frost's famous lines: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by." Diving deep into blockchain feels like choosing the unconventional path that could make all the difference.

The blockchain space moves fast, but the fundamentals remain crucial.

The key is consistency over intensity. Small daily progress compounds into significant growth over time.
