My Mother: Engineer, Programmer, and Analyst. Part 3

The leading specialists of her departments (developers, scientists and designers) decided to create a separate enterprise with private financing. There, she wrote application programs to help accountants and financiers process information quickly, instead of doing everything manually for weeks using a calculator. 1C did not exist yet.
1C is a Russian software company that develops solutions for business automation. Its most well-known product is the "1C: Enterprise" platform, which allows users to create and use a variety of business programs, such as accounting, trade management, inventory, manufacturing, payroll, HR, and many other specialized applications.
In 1993, the marketing manager of her department (who had also previously been a programmer) told her about the opening of the Higher School of Economics (HSE), which offered new content on western economics and modern approaches instead of those outdated Soviet materials. It was a master's program, and such programs were just starting to appear.
My mother decided to study economics. She passed exams in advanced mathematics, translation of technical texts in English, and the basics of economics.
Svetlana successfully passed the interview. She was 28 years old then (the same age as I am now). Half of the classes were in English, and the texts were only in English. She learned how an enterprise should work effectively using management accounting algorithms. She worked as an economist for two years, and in 1997 I was born.
Later, she returned to a different place, but moved to a new department – quality management systems and analytics (management accounting). She actively used MS Excel to create complex databases and analyze data and to excel at her job.
In 2009, my mother's company decided to move into the project management field and develop an information system for PMs. They developed their own project management information system (PMIS) to manage the large number of projects that were being carried out in their company. My mother was one of the ideologists of the system based on MS Project and MS SharePoint, worked with developers as part of a team and acted as an analyst. She received aggregated processed data on projects, clients, project managers and department performance.
Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server is a collaborative platform and content management system that enables organizations to build websites, share documents, and manage information.

Hi, I'm Nadia and I work in technical writing. I work as a technical writer at Sherpa Robotics, a mid-size AI and bisiness process automation company. As a middle technical writer, I monitor release notes, using Markdown, write documentation with doсs-as-code for website, edit user guides in Gitbook, prepare technical requirements. Every day I check new tasks in the backlog and communicate with developers to bring the text to perfection. I really like my job because I can work from anywhere in the world and combine my love for creativity and technology. Even at school, I loved writing essays, finding new information, structuring and analyzing it. It was always important for me to make sure that my text was written beautifully and correctly. I like to make various lists and diagrams, add illustrations to the text so that the user can always understand everything. It is important for me to test the products that I write about from myself. So I sometimes find errors in programs or code, which I write to the developers about. It is important for me to receive feedback, and I get a lot of it in this job.
