🧊 Week 8 of My DevOps Journey – Chill Mode: ON 🎮

Hey folks 👋

Week 8 is officially my rest week, and I wanted to share a very different kind of update this time.

After 7 continuous weeks of deep diving into Linux, Bash scripting, Git, Python, and AWS… my brain really needed a cool down. So I gave myself permission to pause — and it was totally worth it!

🎮 Gaming Overload: My Happy Place

This week, I went all in on gaming. Some of the highlights:

  • Got back into Valorant — still trying to figure out the perfect sensitivity settings 💀

  • Played a bunch of indie games I had been putting off

  • Tried out new strategy games that had been collecting digital dust

  • Even rage-quit a few times (which is probably a sign I had fun 😆)

📺 Streaming, Esports & Chill Vibes

When I wasn’t playing, I was watching:

  • Twitch streams and pro-level gameplay — picked up some neat tricks

  • YouTube gaming channels and walkthroughs just for fun

  • Some chill tech content too, but mostly gaming this week 😅

Also caught up with friends on Discord and just had fun being part of the gaming community again.

🧠 Why This Week Was Important

It wasn’t just laziness — it was intentional rest.

I’ve realized that sustainable learning requires breaks too. Burnout is real, especially when you’re self-learning daily. And I want to keep going for the long term.

This week reminded me:

“It’s okay to rest. You’re still serious about your goals.”

Now I feel way more refreshed to jump back into action for Week 9!

🧩 What’s Next?

Starting next week, I’ll be picking up the pace again by:

  • Continuing my AWS Cloud Practitioner course from KodeKloud

  • Diving deeper into build tools like Maven and Gradle to understand how projects are structured and automated

  • Maybe getting into Ansible if time allows — I’m curious about configuration management tools and how they tie into real-world DevOps pipelines

Thanks for reading something lighter this time!
Let me know if you also take intentional breaks in your learning journey — I’d love to hear how you spend them.

Until next week,
