I’m Back After 7 Months – Here's What Actually Happened 😅

Hey folks!
It’s been a while — 7 months to be precise. So naturally, the question arises:
“Where the hell was I?” and more importantly, “What was I actually doing? 😂”

Let’s rewind. Let me take you through the rollercoaster that was my life these past few months. Buckle up!

🎓 Post-Blog: Exams, Events, and... Tragedy

Just 2 days after publishing my last blog, my practical exams began. Then came a 3-day university event, and right after that, my semester exams kicked off from 3rd January.

But the real drama began that very evening...

💻 The Day My Laptop Got Stolen

I came back from my exam and went to grab snacks from the hostel mess. When I returned — my room was in chaos:

  • Almirah wide open

  • Clothes scattered all over

  • And worst of all... my laptop was missing 😨

Yes, it was stolen from my own hostel room.

We rushed to check the CCTV footage, collected proof, and filed an FIR.
The following days were filled with shock, grief, and helplessness.

👨‍⚖️ The Case, the Court, and the Chaos

After a few days, I got a call — my laptop was found! But no, the story doesn’t end here.

To get it back, I had to go through the court. I was advised to hire a lawyer.
He kept saying, “It’ll be done soon,” but days passed... nothing happened.

  • I couldn’t sleep properly

  • Mental health hit rock bottom

  • Hostel emptied out as friends went home

Eventually, by some miracle, I received a release order for my laptop.
Finally? Well... not really.

😞 Close But Still Not Mine

There were two conditions to claim my laptop:

  • One was easy and I fulfilled it

  • The second? Almost impossible

Despite my efforts — I never got it back.

Met many people, sought help from several — none were truly helpful.
This phase was the lowest of my life so far.

💼 Career Hustles in Between the Chaos

Even amidst this emotional mess, I kept applying and gave 2 company assessments — both ghosted me.

Then came March — a little hope!
I received an internship offer as Software Developer from GlobalLogic.
Meanwhile, still no progress on retrieving my laptop...

In April, I found another company hiring.
Surprisingly, my resume got shortlisted and I cleared all interview rounds!

But... the company closed my application due to immediate joining requirements.
Just when my semester exams were wrapping up — the HR called again!

She scheduled a PI (Personal Interview) and told me to wait 3 days.

I waited for 5 days — reached out — no reply.
Then came a random email: “Your application is closed.”
My heart broke again.

🥀 Hell of a Year... But Still Hopeful

So far, 2025 has been nothing short of hell for me —

  • Laptop stolen

  • Court struggles

  • Mental health drained

  • Jobs ghosted

  • Dreams delayed

But despite all this, I wake up every day and keep moving.
Trying to make the rest of the year memorable — on a positive note.

Just 20 days ago, I appeared for the TCS interview — no results yet.
On 21st July, I also gave the Wipro interview.
I’ll share those interview experiences in my next blog!

📝 What’s Next?

I’ll be posting daily blogs from now.
Sharing my journey, interview experiences, and everything in between.

If life has knocked you down too, I just want to say —
You’re not alone. Let’s rise together. 💪

Until next time,
Arpit Jain
