ENG vs IND 4th Test: The fourth Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Test series between England and India in Manchester ended in a draw today on 27 July. On the last day of the game, it seemed that Team India would have to face defeat in the match, but the Indian batsmen showed patience and batted brilliantly and succeeded in taking the match to a draw.
In the second innings for India, captain Shubman Gill (103), Ravindra Jadeja (107) and Washington Sundar (101) played excellent centuries and saved the team from innings defeat. On the fourth day, when India came out to bat in the second innings, its first 2 wickets fell in the very first over, when Chris Woakes dismissed Jaiswal and Sudarshan in the same over. But after this, KL Rahul (90) and Shubman Gill (103) took charge of the Indian innings by sharing 188 runs for the second wicket, and in the end Ravindra Jadeja (107) and Washington Sundar (101) took the match to a draw with an unbroken partnership of 203* runs for the 5th wicket.
