🔎 Day 14 — Searching, Styling, and Some Python Funk

Today was a heavy logic + new syntax kind of day.
I started CSS, finally! But also got into some really interesting areas of both Python and C++ that felt confusing at first but kinda cool once they clicked.

✅ What I Did

💻 C++ – Arrays and Search Algorithms

  • Practiced:

    • Pointer arithmetic: using *, &, pointer math

    • Linear Search and Binary Search

    • Reversing arrays using loops and temp vars

  • It was a mix of DSA basics and pointer practice

🐍 Python – All the Advanced Bits

  • Learned:

    • map() and reduce() functions

    • The walrus operator :=

    • Function arguments: *args and **kwargs

  • Wrote small test programs for each — definitely need more practice, but it’s fun!

🌐 Web Development – CSS (Finally!)

  • Started CSS today! 🔥

    • Learned how to use <style>, style="", and external CSS

    • Tried basic styling properties like color, background, font-family, and spacing

  • It’s exciting to see things look different now, not just work

🔗 GitHub Pushes

  • python-vault/day14-func-magic.py

🧠 Reflections

This is the stuff that used to scare me — pointers, decorators, args, layout.
But now I’m just picking it apart one piece at a time.

Every language has its quirks. And I’m learning to love them.

That’s Day 14. Logged and done.
