I still remember the first time I heard the term Data Science — it felt like falling in love with a whole new world of possibility.

But one question kept echoing in my mind: How does a machine actually learn from data?

At first, it all seemed like magic. But then it clicked — machines aren’t so different from us.

Think back to nursery school, when we were shown letters over and over until they made sense. That’s how we learned. And machines? They learn the same way — not through instinct, but by absorbing the information we give them.

That's the heart of machine learning, which is defined as:

“A field of study that gives computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed.”

Arthur Samuel, 1959

That’s where this journey begins.

Because behind every smart prediction, recommendation, or chatbot is a machine that’s learning.

I created this blog as a roadmap not just for applying machine learning models, but for understanding how they’re built, the logic behind them, and the principles that power their predictions.

👉 Follow along as I break down machine learning algorithms in plain language from simple models like Linear Regression and Decision Trees to powerful techniques like Ensemble Methods and Neural Networks.

📘 I’ll guide you through 40 beginner-friendly projects every aspiring ML developer should know.

👋 Hi everyone, I'm Ognev Robert Precious. I've been on a journey to learn data science since 2021. It wasn’t until last year that things finally started to click. Since then, I’ve been working through projects, mostly using Kaggle datasets, and building up my understanding through practice. This blog is where I share everything I’m learning — from hands-on tutorials to projects I’ve solved, and how I approached them. I’m also a neuroscientist, and I love making learning feel approachable and engaging. Sometimes, when I find a topic hard to understand on the internet, I rewrite it in a way that makes sense to me. That’s what you’ll find here: a learning space built around curiosity, clarity, and personal growth. Let’s keep learning together!
