Petition for PIL: Because Mental Health Is Not a Privilege. It’s a Right.

WeDidIt isn’t just an organization , it’s a movement of hearts, voices, and untold stories. From gender-based violence to access to education, from breaking stigma to uplifting unheard voices, their mission is woven with compassion. But right now, they’re fighting a battle that hits home for all of us: Mental Health.

India is known as the suicide capital of the world. And we’re not just losing lives , we’re losing children, students, dreamers. We teach equations and grammar, but never teach how to survive anxiety. We push young people to succeed, but never teach them how to breathe through pain.

This petition for a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) calls for making mental health education a mandatory subject in every Indian school. Not as an afterthought. But as a lifeline.

Because if we don’t act now, how many more headlines will it take?

If you believe that healing matters, that mental wellness deserves a place in classrooms, and that empathy belongs in the curriculum, then this petition is your voice.
