Project 2: Smart Cloud Pendrive (with Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W)

Why carry a boring pendrive when you can carry a smart, password-protected cloud device in your pocket?
This project started as a wild idea — a pendrive that can connect to Wi-Fi, sync files to Firebase, and act like a mini cloud. Turns out, with a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W and some creative hacking, it's totally possible.
What It Does:
USB mass storage mode (acts like a normal pendrive)
Wi-Fi Hotspot or client: auto-connects to a network
Firebase-linked user login (email + password auth)
Selective file sync: only sync what you want
Rechargeable battery and on/off switch
Future upgrades: remote lock, geolocation tracking, and file encryption
Use Case:
I imagine this being useful for students, developers, or even journalists — anyone who wants secure, cloud-linked, portable storage that doesn't rely on third-party drives like Google or Dropbox.
It’s a cloud you can keep in your pocket — and it doesn’t forget who you are.
