We Choose Action Over Apathy: WeDidIt! Will You?

WeDidIt is a volunteer-driven non-profit founded in 2020 by Sree Krishna Seelam in Vijayawada, India. Its mission is to cultivate empathy, leadership, and a spirit of service among youth by promoting hands-on volunteerism across causes aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—such as education, poverty, gender equality, climate action, and more.
What They Do (Programs & Causes)
3‑Hour Hero Program: Encourages people to volunteer for just a few hours to experience the impact of giving back
Core Programs Include:
· Cleaning the Krishna River banks (plastic and waste cleanup)
· Assisting rural farmers with tasks and promoting sustainable practices
· Organizing marathons or community sports events
· Recycling used notebooks to support environmental sustainability
· Conducts free motivational sessions in schools and colleges, inspiring students to adopt volunteerism early in life
One of their strengths lies in using technology and data tools to match volunteers with suitable causes, allowing efficient, scalable engagement, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their efforts earned them recognition, including the Economic Times Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship Award in 2021.
In addition to volunteering, WeDidIt funds its programs through revenue from publications like Indian Law for a Common Man and 5 Killer Habits, with proceeds supporting educational and legal aid initiatives for underserved communities.
WeDidIt’s aim to “Make the Planet a better place for the Next Generations" reflects its broader vision of building a compassionate and proactive society, starting with youth. You too can volunteer by contributing a bit of your time, skills, or resources. Join this growing network of changemakers and be a part of the change. For more, visit https://wedidit.in/
