GitKraken Experience

Introduction
GitKraken is a popular graphical Git client used for managing Git repositories with a user-friendly interface. It simplifies version control, especially for those who find command-line Git challenging or want a visual representation of branching, merging, and commits.

Using GitKraken was a game-changer, especially when working on collaborative projects with multiple branches. The visual commit graph made it incredibly easy to track changes, understand merge histories, and avoid conflicts. Instead of juggling commands in the terminal, I could just drag and drop to merge or rebase branches.

One feature I really liked was the built-in merge conflict tool — it highlighted conflicting files and made resolving them less intimidating. The GitHub integration was seamless — I could clone repos, create branches, and push changes without ever leaving the UI.

During a hackathon, our team had to manage frequent PRs and quick merges. GitKraken helped us visualize who was working on what, and kept our workflow smooth. Even for personal projects, it’s great for understanding the evolution of your codebase over time.
