Meta Earth AMA Recap: Building the Future of Web3 Identity, UBI, and Trust

On July 17, the Meta Earth community came together on X Spaces for a live AMA session, diving deep into the future of decentralized identity, modular blockchain infrastructure, and how participation itself can become a source of income in Web3.
Hosted by Soumi from Meta Earth, the session featured core team member Irene and special guests Dr. Ritika Singhal and Gerry Go (a.k.a. CryptoPareh), both well-known KOLs shaping the Web3 conversation.
A Digital Identity Layer for Web3
The discussion opened with Irene explaining Meta Earth’s mission: “People shouldn’t just own tokens — they should own their identity.” At the heart of this is ME ID, a decentralized digital passport that allows users to prove who they are across chains while building a portable onchain reputation.
Dr. Ritika highlighted why identity is still missing in Web3 despite wallets and tokens: “Wallets show balances, not who you are or what you’ve done. Identity adds context and builds trust in decentralized communities.”
Gerry added perspective on how Meta Earth bridges the fast-growing modular blockchain landscape: “With so much fragmentation, we need a layer that ties it all together. Meta Earth is that layer.”
UBI in Web3 — Earned, Not Given
A major highlight of the session was Meta Earth’s approach to Unconditional Basic Income (UBI). Irene clarified: “In Meta Earth, UBI isn’t free money — it’s earned by verifying ME ID, participating in the ecosystem, and building reputation.”
Dr. Ritika emphasized the global impact: “This rewards real effort and levels the playing field, giving people value just for showing up and contributing.”
Privacy by Design
One question often raised in identity solutions is privacy. Gerry explained how ME Pass uses zero-knowledge proofs and selective disclosure: “You reveal only what’s needed — not everything. Privacy isn’t an afterthought, it’s designed into the protocol from the start.”
What’s Next for Web3?
Looking ahead, Gerry predicted a future where Web3 is “more human, social, and identity-driven”, featuring portable IDs, passive UBI systems, and reputation-based access to dApps. Ritika added that mainstream adoption will come when platforms treat users as people, not just wallet addresses — something Meta Earth is actively enabling.
Community and Rewards
The session also featured live participation opportunities, including a surprise USDT giveaway for attendees who engaged, registered their ME ID, and shared their experience.
Irene closed the AMA with a call to action: “If you believe in fair access and digital ownership, now’s the time to join. Meta Earth is more than a project — it’s a movement.”
