ENG vs IND 5th Test: The third day of the fifth Test match between England and India at Kennington Oval ended today on August 2. After the third day’s play, England has scored a total of 50 runs at the loss of 1 wicket in the second innings.

The day’s play ended with the wicket of Jack Crowley (14) in the last over of the day. England are currently trailing India by 324 runs, with India needing 9 wickets from here to win.

If we give you information about the third day’s play of the Oval Test match, then India started playing from 75/2 in the second innings today. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (118) and night watchman Akashdeep (66) made a brilliant partnership of 107 runs for the third wicket, recovering the team from the initial setbacks.

However, Shubman Gill could contribute only 11 runs and Karun Nair only 17 runs. But, in the end, Ravindra Jadeja 53, Dhruv Jurel 34 and Washington Sundar (53 runs, 46 balls) played amazing innings for the team, due to which the team scored 396 runs in the second innings, and set a target of 374 runs in the second innings for England to win.

Talking about England’s bowling in the second innings, Josh Tongue took five wickets. Apart from this, Gus Atkinson got 3 and Jamie Overton got 2 wickets.

After this, by the end of the third day’s play, England have scored a total of 50 runs at the loss of 1 wicket after batting 13.5 overs in the second innings. Ben Duckett is currently at the crease with 34 * runs, while Jack Crowley was bowled out by Mohammad Siraj after scoring 14 runs. Siraj has got one wicket for India so far.
