Monthly traffic challenge Part 1 - Laying a GOOD foundation

Rebuild status and numbers last updated: 30/7/25
Monthly visits, 100/10,000
So I will make this post as easy to read as possible even to non technical people🙂. The word SEO means search engine optimization. Basically how well the site will show in Google search results 🌐. Simply…
💬The search words (keywords): When people search with they search value, does your site pop up to them. If they don’t find it at all, that is a problem
📈The position: At what position does your site shows to them? If it is the 30th place, almost no one will find it in Google search.
So let’s start from here 🙂
(In this keyword research I used uberssuggest. It is a very good tool)
I will later report here our results after some time, and also show keywords directly so you can see very clearly the strategy and outcome 🙂🥁
Building upon a proper SEO strategy
flamethefreeze was build about 4 years. It was my first pure html (non WordPress) website, and it was very good 🙂. But now after 4 years I see the need to update the site: both the content and especially the SEO. Basically there is no seo expect for the site name.
So this is the first part before the rebuild: SEO Strategy ⚡. I did two things
🕵️♂️Keyword research: I did a proper keyword research to find keywords people search in nice numbers but that are still very easy to rank up.
🛣Splitting English and Finnish SEO paths — both language groups treated as distinct audiences (Google loves that, or so have it heard).
🔍 Let the numbers speak
Instead of tossing keywords around like confetti or spagetti🎉🍝 (if you can toss that 😄), I want to teach and show you how to use the keyword research and not plain keywords. So the following are not the actual keywords but the theme.
Explanation of the numbers:
1. Monthly searches: The English numbers are for US searches (the largest audience, so the actual number is higher). Higher is better, aim for +1k if possible. ⬆️
2. Backlinks (average backlinks in the top 10 search results): how many sites have in them link to this site. Lower is better. Aim for 0 if possible. ⬇️
3. Difficulty: how easy it is to get good position with this keyword. From 1 to 100. Lower is better. ⬇️
🔥 Revival
English: 2 keywords with a slight variation
1st: 1,000 monthly searches, 3 backlinks, difficulty 28
2nd: 1,000 monthly searches, 48 backlinks, difficulty 28Finnish: 90 monthly searches, 0 backlinks, difficulty 10
(A wide open door in Finnish — almost no competition!)
🕊️ The Holy Spirit
English 2 keywords, lets see what we will focus on
1st: 1,900 monthly searches, 36 backlinks, difficulty 21
2nd: 2,400 monthly searches, 34 backlinks, difficulty 45Finnish: 720 monthly, 35 backlinks, difficulty 24
(This might be too hard for us in the Finnish site; we will see and adjust)
🙏 Prayer
English: 6,600 monthly, just 15 backlinks, and super low difficulty at 6
(As you can see this is definitely our best opportunity. Huge search volume as super easy rankin 🥇🔝📈)Finnish: 2 keywords
1st: 140 monthly searches, 4 backlinks, difficulty 6
2nd: 70 monthly searches, 1 backlinks, difficulty 10
(This one is a golden opportunity in both languages. As you see at this point the Finnish search volumes are very low compared to English ones, BUT! they still provide extra visits when the numbers are combined. Think long term 🗯️)
🗣️ Word
English: 1,900 monthly, 979 backlinks, difficulty 25
(Notice the backlinks here. As this is the average there basically as one site with +9k backlinks which raised the number so high. But others had somethink like 2–50, which makes this keyword good target for us 🙂)Finnish: 140 monthly combined, 19 backlinks, difficulty 10
(Surprisingly underused — high interest, almost no competition)
🏛️ Church
English: 5,400 monthly, 94 backlinks, difficulty 40
(This was easier couple weeks back, we will see if we can rank here)Finnish (local focus): 140 monthly, 20 backlinks, difficulty ~13
(Much easier to rank in Finland, even for church-specific terms 🥇)
💎 Perfection & Holiness
English: 2,400 monthly, 13 backlinks, difficulty 19
Finnish: 90 monthly, …(1 site with high number) backlinks, difficulty 7
🌱 Faith
English: 720 monthly, 27 backlinks, difficulty 36
Finnish: 210 monthly, (1 site with high number) backlinks, difficulty 26
💬 Quotes
English: 8,100 monthly, 39 backlinks, difficulty 65
(We will see if we can rank here. Actually none did not specifically target this keyword but it was jut a variation. So we will see 👀)Finnish: 90 monthly, 93 (1 site again) backlinks, difficulty 14
(Finnish competition is oddly dense here — but it’s niche and winnable)
🧩 Ministry positions
English: 9,900 monthly, 32 backlinks, difficulty 39
(Very high numbers again, lets see what we will get 🏦)Finnish (split across multiple terms):
1st: 1,300 monthly, (1 high) backlinks , difficulty 14
2nd: 390 monthly, (1 high) backlinks , difficulty 33
3rd: 480 monthly, 12 backlinks , difficulty 48
4th: 30 monthly, 1 backlinks , difficulty 30
(Here we have big number in total and we will naturally target all these keywords.)
🌍 Separate language strategies, separate SEO structures
Here’s something I’m doing very intentionally:
I did completely separate keyword strategies for English and Finnish audiences. No lazy duplication or translate loop. 🇫🇮🇬🇧Translation to Finnish is a slow process btw; you cannot trust on Google translator and direct translation from English to Finnish does not work, it sounds very buggy and odddddd…
So here I tailored the messaging and built it around what each audience is actually seeking. I’m very interested and expecting to see the results 😁
To boost this even further:
🔗 We’re using distinct page URLs per language (e.g.,
/church
vs/seurakunta
) to create more relevant page signals for search engines.🧭 Navigation and metadata are language-native — not just swapped out text. Yes!! (I enjoy seo❣︎)
📈 This allows us to rank independently in both ecosystems. System to the top!
Example? A theme related to “revival” in English gets 1k+ monthly searches. The corresponding Finnish concept sees much less traffic (90/month), but also zero SEO competition. That’s a powerful open door. Yaassss!
🧱 Site structure: we go SEO-smart 🥸
With all this data, the content map basically built itself. At the moment we have rebuild 0/18 pages (9 English + 9 Finnish) (30/7/25). I will update the number here as the rebuild progresses.
Here’s how flamethefreeze.com is structured for max impact, and the organic traffic numbers under each section with the date they were updated here 🙂
🔥 Home — Revival (site rebuild in progress 🟧)
Organic traffic (E): 100, (F): 0 - (30/7/2025)🕊️ About — The Holy Spirit (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)🗣️ Word — The word of God (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)🙏 Prayer — Action, faith, and intercession (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)🏛️ Church — The church today (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)✨ Events — Holiness and spiritual growth (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)📖 Devotions — Faith food (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)☁️ Quotes — Inspirational voices (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)🧩 Ministries — Apostolic callings (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)About📸 — About flamethefreeze (site rebuild ❌)
Organic traffic (E): 0, (F): 0 — (30/7/2025)
Total organic traffic: 100 (30/7/2025)
So every page is build to draw traffic🚦 🚸⛔. That is very powerful, and I believe will draw surprising number of organic traffic to the site overall. You now will understand why I put the number: from 100 ➔ to 10,000 in the title. It is not a clickbait, it is my actual aim, and I do believe it is doable. Remember: The English numbers are only for US searches so for example the first keyword in the Revival section has like 3,600 searches globally. So our ‘market fit’ is much higher🚀. Do you now see how very important search engine optimization is?
The total number (just US + Finnish keywords) is 45,210 searches per month. And with global English searches the actual number can be 2x higher. So assuming there are 90,000 searches, thinking we would end up getting by the time 10,000 is not far fetched.
⏳ Good takes time — Patience
Notice now, we are doing this as our long term plan. This will not happen in a week or month. This will take several months or years. Therefore you need to be patient in this. If you are in rush you will fail🍂 the marathon🏃. Patience is the key🔑
⚡ The power is in the strategy
The old way? Throwing up content and praying it draws people. Now prayer is good, but should be used to more important matters. You cannot pray something you yourself should do the labor for 😁👷♂️🚧🏗️🧱
The new way? SEO with spiritual purpose — backed by keyword data, user intent, and a structure that makes it impossible to miss. I’m very excited about this. LikE really! This is very exciting.
In Part 2, (YES! we have part 2 incoming!) we will (probably) go directly to the index page. It will be fast 🏎️, mobile-first 📱, image-optimized 🖼️, and built for Core Web Vitals victory 🕸️🌐.
But for now lets remember together: as we are building a Jesus focused site, our strategy should be as strong as our message — spirituality with excellence and without a compromise. Speak to seekers in their language — both spiritually and academically.
See ya!👋
