Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) has etched its name in the Guinness World Records, setting a new global benchmark for citizen engagement. The 8th edition of the annual student interaction programme saw a staggering 3.53 crore registrations on the MyGov platform—earning the record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.”

According to the Ministry of Education, PPC 2025 also attracted over 21 crore viewers across digital, TV, and radio platforms, reflecting its massive nationwide impact.

The official Guinness World Record certificate was handed over at a ceremony in New Delhi, graced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada, and other senior officials. The record was validated by Rishi Nath, an adjudicator from Guinness World Records.

Sharing his excitement on social media, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan wrote:

“A matter of great delight and personal satisfaction to accept the Guinness World Record for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw and Shri @JitinPrasada. #PPC2025 has set a world record with 3.53 crore+ registrations and over 21 crore viewership on television.”

Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha is designed to help students, parents, and educators navigate exam stress through open interaction with the Prime Minister. The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting holistic development, emotional well-being, and a positive mindset towards academic challenges.

Highlighting the tech infrastructure behind this milestone, Minister Jitin Prasada credited the MyGov platform for enabling seamless, large-scale citizen participation. Meanwhile, Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized the programme’s growing significance as a tool for building a more mindful and less stressful academic culture.

With this global recognition, Pariksha Pe Charcha reinforces its role as not just a pre-exam dialogue, but a transformative national movement toward student empowerment and inclusive education.
