You Haven’t Shipped Yet Either, Right?

Let’s be real.
You had this idea. Maybe even a landing page.
A bunch of late-night sessions. A dozen browser tabs open.
And now it’s been weeks. Maybe months.
Still not shipped.
Same here.
I’m building a SaaS. I haven’t shipped it yet.
And depending on the day, I either feel motivated as hell — or like a total fraud.
But I’ve realized something:
Not shipping yet doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It just means you’re in the messy middle — and that’s where everyone gets stuck.
Why I Haven’t Shipped (If I’m Being Honest)
It’s not because I don’t care.
It’s not because the idea sucks.
It’s not even because the tech is hard (though sometimes, yeah, it is).
It’s because of this:
I keep tweaking things no one asked for.
I’m scared it won’t be “good enough.”
I tell myself I need just one more feature before it’s launch-worthy.
I scroll Twitter and think, “Their launch looked polished. Mine won’t.”
This isn’t a productivity issue.
It’s a fear-of-being-seen issue.
But Here’s the Truth…
No one’s going to remember your first version.*
They’ll remember how often you showed up after that.*
Shipping isn’t about being done.
It’s about starting the loop:
- Build → Ship → Learn → Improve → Repeat.
You can’t improve what you haven’t launched.
You can’t get feedback on something no one can use.
You can’t grow a product in your drafts folder.
What I’m Doing About It
I made a decision this week.
I’m going to ship.
Not a perfect version.
Not a full-featured version.
Just something real people can use.
Here’s how I’m keeping myself accountable:
Cut scope by 80%. If it doesn’t solve the core problem, it’s on pause.
Public build log. I’ll post progress weekly — wins, setbacks, all of it.
Deadline: [insert your shipping date]. Even if it’s not perfect.
(Feel free to borrow this plan — it’s not fancy, but it works.)
If You Haven’t Shipped Either…
That’s okay.
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re just early.
Give yourself permission to launch something.
Not to impress people — but to move forward.
I’m not ahead of you. I’m right beside you.
Let’s get it done.
🧠 Bonus: If this resonated with you…
I’d love to hear from you.
Leave a comment, DM me, reply on Twitter — whatever.
Let’s build (and ship) together.
