Make in Nigeria 2025: Nigeria’s largest business exhibition and conference in Porthacourt

Port Harcourt gears up for Nigeria’s largest tech and agriculture convergence.
For 15 years, Make in Nigeria Exhibition & Conference has stood as one of the nation’s most enduring platforms championing indigenous innovation, economic self-reliance, and youth-driven enterprise. As we mark the 15th anniversary edition this September, the 2025 event promises to be not just a celebration of legacy, but a launchpad for the future.
With over 20,000 attendees expected, more than 250 exhibiting businesses, 5 million+ media reach, and a convergence of stakeholders from policy, private sector, education, agriculture, manufacturing, and technology, the Make in Nigeria Conference and Business Exhibition 2025 will be unlike any edition before it.
This Year’s Theme: “The Fusion — A Tech and Agric Expo”
Nigeria cannot afford to leave traditional sectors behind in this rapidly evolving terrain! That’s why this year’s theme focuses on bridging agriculture and technology; two sectors that, when fused, can unlock unprecedented value for rural economies, food systems, and scalable manufacturing.
From smart farming tools to renewable energy solutions and AI-driven crop monitoring, The Fusion will spotlight the innovations transforming our farmlands and food chains into smart, scalable, and profitable systems.
The Hackathon: Innovation for Local Solutions
For the first time in its history, Make in Nigeria is hosting a National Hackathon — an innovation sprint designed to unlock local solutions to local problems — under the visionary leadership of Uche Onochie, whose commitment to indigenous innovation continues to inspire a new generation of changemakers.
With participation from over 300 young innovators, developers, and student teams, the Hackathon will challenge minds to solve real-life problems in:
● AgriTech: Smart irrigation, crop yield prediction, logistics
● EduTech: Localized learning platforms for vocational training
● SME Tools: Payment systems, local ERPs, and micro-financing tools
● Sustainability: Circular economy, renewable energy in production
Winning teams will receive seed funding, incubation support, and mentorship, turning ideas into businesses.
Why It Matters
Make in Nigeria isn’t just an exhibition, it’s a movement to reclaim Nigeria’s creative and productive potential. Over the years:
● We have trained over 100,000 residents of the South-south region of Nigeria in the last 16 years in business development, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Start-ups are not left out in our training, and some have successfully migrated to become SMEs**,** moving their businesses even further. We have helped them with various training services, including sales, business development, branding, bookkeeping, and digital marketing. They are now better equipped to apply for and receive grants and loans as a result of our training.
● We have given out grants to over 100 Start-ups in the last 10 years and have been able to monitor their growth and see them scale.
● Within this same period, we have been able to convert 20% of business enthusiasts who attended our past events to become Start-ups.
● We have seen a 15% conversion rate of Start-ups to SME’s and 9% of Retirees venture into entrepreneurship.
● 40% of our Past Exhibitors have recorded a tremendous increase in sales, and have broadened their clientele and network.
● 20% have reinvented and reengineered their businesses to become more sustainable and profitable due to the exposure they received at our events.
● We have supported 5% of our exhibitors in exporting their products and services internationally. They have also learned how to package and position their goods and services to meet global standards
It is also one of the few national platforms backed by civic and industrial leadership, fostering a new ecosystem of trust and productivity.
