How a quick 5minute test turned into 6hours of bugfixing and 30minutes of coding... no test done yet

Yay a new day, a new chance to mess up BIG TIME while trying to resolve some MINOR configuration issues… So what I wanted to do was fix the repository link in my IDE, since i moved that yesterday. What I also wanted to do was rename the folder… so i renamed it to PathToTheUnknown… The thing though is…… there was already a project with this name of a previous attempt of creating my own game out of yair (yet another idle rpg, for those less familiar with incremental games) and yeah…… i merged my current project, which i wanted to sync with git afterwards by pushing my changes…… i merged it with that old project and then had to find all the relevant files, save them, rename this old weird project, create a new one from git, then add my files again…. all i wanted to do was fix things ;( and also test the template for the kanban board template, that my assistant/coworker created for me to check it out and give some feedback. And non programmers wonder, why it takes so long to just create a button that can increase a number as a minimum viable product….. breathes Well time to take a step back and retry i thought and so i did. And now after a whole 6 hours and several more configuration issues with renaming, java versions, non existing databases(as intended) and more i finally proudly present the minimum viable product!!!

No fluff, no fancy animations or even colours. Just a simple proof, that I can now build my project(without java version errors), access the project via the localhost adress, see a button, click a button and see numbers go up. What a long journey this has been so far. And with that I think it is high time to end the day and relax for the rest of the evening… wait a moment… didnt I originally just want to test this template for the kanban board? Weeeelll tomorrow is another great day for coding and testing i guess ;P
