Why I Switched from Windows to Linux

Like many computer professionals, my journey began with Windows. It's the operating system that introduced me to the digital world, and for years, it was all I knew. However, as my skills grew and my curiosity deepened, I began to see its limitations. I now believe that while Windows is excellent for simplicity, Linux offers a more profound and powerful experience.
In my opinion, Windows has a number of fundamental flaws that can hold back a true understanding of computing.
* Bloated Installation: The sheer size of a standard Windows installation is massive. This can feel inefficient and unnecessarily complex, especially for users who want to control every aspect of their system.
* Security Vulnerabilities: Windows has long been a major target for cyberattacks, and security flaws are extremely common. This constant exposure to threats can be a source of frustration and concern for anyone serious about digital security.
My perspective completely changed when I discovered Linux. I was around 12 or 13, and the distribution that captured my attention was Kali Linux. I was immediately amazed by its efficiency and the seamless flow of the system.
Unlike Windows, Linux provides a deeper level of understanding and control. It's not just about using a computer; it's about learning how it works from the ground up. This hands-on approach allows for a richer practice of what a computer can truly do, whether you're a developer, a system administrator, or an ethical hacker.
In short, Windows provides a polished, simple interface, but Linux offers the tools to truly master your machine. This is why I made the switch and why I believe it's a critical step for anyone who wants to move beyond just being a user and become a true computer professional.
