Start with regular cleaning—how you do it depends on what your frame is made of. For wood frames, a quick dust with a microfiber cloth once a week keeps them looking fresh. Every few months, wipe on some wood polish to nourish the finish—just skip harsh chemicals that can strip the wood. Metal frames? A damp cloth takes care of dust and smudges. Keep an eye on joints for rust, especially in humid rooms. Upholstered frames need a weekly vacuum with a brush attachment to pick up dust and pet hair. If you spill something, test a hidden spot with fabric cleaner first before treating the stain—no one wants a bigger mess!
Next, check for loose parts. Over time, screws and bolts can wiggle loose, leading to squeaks or wobbles. Every six months, grab a screwdriver and tighten any that feel loose.
