A Short Introduction

Hi, I am Satyarth Shree a 17 years old aspiring robotics engineer and a student who has joined a university named Lovely Professional University (LPU) to pursue BTech in Robotics and Automation. I document my learning journey publicly to connect with right people and increase my chances of securing an internship or job later on. In this blog I will share my experience as a fresher at my university. Hashnode is my primary blogging platform while Medium is my secondary blogging platform.

My Experience as a Freshmen

University life is different than what I imagined it to be. I earlier thought that at a university I will encounter studious students who study all day long but that was not the case. Many students were involved in some or the other extra curricular activities which I found to be quite interesting because I myself do not pursue any extra curricular activity. As freshers we have to attend some orientation sessions where we were told about our university and the facilities that it offers. Later in these sessions we enjoyed watching some dance performances conducted by our seniors. It was a good experience overall I would say.
I learned a lot after living in the university for almost 15 days till now. Earlier my mother used to take care of my clothes but now I myself have to wash them and take care of them instead of my mother. This task seemed hectic at first but I got used to it. Managing my clothes along with my studies taught me a lot of things about time management. I personally feel that my ability to schedule tasks and manage my time has increased tremendously since I started managing all things related to me by my own.

One of the most important things that I learned was that whatever skills we are trying to develop doesn’t develop because we want them to develop, it develops when we are in a deep need of it. This correlates with my case. Earlier as a school student I watched many videos related to time management but I was not able to develop this skill to a level which I wanted to develop it. Now as a university student I am in a situation where time management in no longer option, it is a necessity. This situation has forced me to sharpen my skill of time management so that I can effectively take care of myself and my studies. What I learned is that in certain environments we automatically develop certain types of skills which are required to survive in that particular environment. This can be correlated with real life examples also like a soldier who is fighting on the frontlines is often physically and mentally stronger than an average person because his environment and situation which is a battlefield demands mental and physical strength as a necessary quality.

We tend to automatically develop the qualities needed to survive in the environment in which we are living. This is the key lesson that I learned as a freshmen at my university.

My classes were scheduled to start from 6th of August as it was mentioned in my Induction schedule but it started from 7th of August. This was a brief overview of how I felt during my initial days at my university.

I will continue sharing what I am learning and how I am progressing in my journey as a future robotics engineer. I look forward to your continued support and guidance throughout my learning journey.

I’m Satyarth Shree — a Robotics & Automation engineering student learning in public. I write beginner-focused tutorials on Python, Git, C programming, and system logic while building a deeper understanding of robotics, embedded systems, and automation technologies. My long-term goal is to become a well-rounded robotics engineer by mastering both the software and system layers — from microcontroller code to full-stack control panels. This blog is my personal lab notebook — documenting each step, mistake, and breakthrough as I turn learning into clarity and clarity into leverage. Hashnode is my primary blogging platform while Medium is my secondary blogging platform. My medium profile link is:https://medium.com/@satyarthshree45
