Zende has become a must-see crime drama that is a hit with audiences worldwide. It will have its streaming premiere on Netflix on September 5, 2025. Zende tells the true story of Inspector Madhukar Zende, a Mumbai police officer who gained notoriety for chasing the world-famous criminal Charles Sobhraj, or, the “Swimsuit Killer” or “Bikini Killer”.
The film stars Manoj Bajpayee as Inspector Zende, with Jim Sarbh in the role of the duplicitous criminal. Zende is action-comedy, with elements of nostalgia and thrill and even some clever comedy sprinkled in, and is an entertaining story set in 1970s and 1980s Mumbai.
