The Double Standard of Racism in America

Recently, Piers Morgan had an exchange with trans activist Blossom Brown that’s worth dissecting. On his podcast, Morgan accused Brown of “race-baiting.” Brown’s response? That Black women cannot be racist toward white women. She went further, claiming that this principle applies to Morgan himself: he cannot be the target of racism because he is white. And to top it off, she suggested Morgan lacked the “intellectual capacity” to grasp her argument.

Let’s cut through the jargon and political correctness. Racism is the belief that one race is inherently superior or inferior to another, often accompanied by prejudice, discrimination, or systemic advantage. To claim a group of people “cannot be racist” simply because of their skin color is not just intellectually lazy—it’s a dangerous oversimplification. It erases accountability and fuels resentment, rather than addressing real problems in society.

We live in a country obsessed with identity politics, where double standards are not just tolerated—they’re amplified. Certain groups can openly make blanket statements about others, assign blame, or invoke racial hierarchy, and the social and media backlash is minimal. Meanwhile, any criticism of these statements is instantly labeled offensive, insensitive, or racist. This isn’t progress; it’s hypocrisy.

If society wants to combat racism genuinely, it cannot exempt anyone from basic moral responsibility. Accountability must be universal. Words matter. Actions matter. Treating racism as a one-way street only widens divisions and undermines the very goal of equality.

The takeaway is simple: tolerating “black racism” or any form of prejudice under the guise of power dynamics doesn’t advance justice—it erodes trust, encourages cynicism, and perpetuates the problem it claims to solve. True equality requires consistency, not convenience.

What Is White Equality Alliance? The White Equality Alliance is a newly launched grassroots movement committed to the belief that every race deserves equal respect, dignity, and the freedom to celebrate its heritage. If it’s acceptable to express pride in being Black, Latino, or Indigenous, then it should be just as acceptable for white people to express pride in their culture—without fear, shame, or accusation. We believe in the inherent worth of every human being, regardless of race or background. But in today’s climate, let’s be honest—there’s a clear double standard. While many forms of cultural pride are celebrated, white pride is often immediately labeled as hateful or racist. That’s not equality. That’s censorship by fear. At White Equality Alliance, we reject hate in all forms—and that includes the hate that comes from silencing certain voices. Pride in one’s heritage should never require tearing others down. Our mission is to create a space where white identity can be expressed in a healthy, respectful, and non-supremacist way—just like every other group is allowed to do. We’re just getting started, but our message is simple: Equality means everyone. If you believe in fairness, in honest conversation, and in the right of all people to celebrate who they are without shame or hostility—then we invite you to join us. Speak up. Stand with us. Help shape a future where pride doesn’t divide us—it reminds us that we all belong.
