Back then, I was in my second year of college — filled with curiosity about the world and a hint of unrealistic ambition.

My initial experience wasn't with cryptocurrency, but with the stock market. Instead of buying stocks, I engaged in high-leverage warrants trading. Within a few weeks, I lost 70% of my starting capital.

That sensation — shifting from hopefulness to an existential crisis — felt like a harsh reality check, teaching me the true meaning of "the market is ruthless." I started to understand: finance isn't about impulsive speculation; it's an endurance battle against human nature.

But I didn't give up. Late one night in the library, a friend mentioned Bitcoin. That marked my first serious dive into cryptocurrency. The more I researched, the more I realized this wasn't just a tool for speculation — it was a daring technical experiment and a challenge to the traditional financial system.

April 2018

I signed up for a Binance account @binance. That evening, I made what seemed like an irrational decision at the time: I limited myself to $30 a week for living expenses. Every other penny I earned from part-time jobs went into crypto. I avoided smoking, parties, travel, and phone upgrades. After my campus work each day, I'd return and immediately open the candlestick charts.

People thought I was insane. But I knew I wasn't escaping reality — I was stepping into a future ahead of schedule.

Crypto in 2019

It was a time filled with romanticism. I joined the Binance community @binancezh and connected with many passionate early believers. IEOs were just beginning, and the value of BNB wasn't fully appreciated yet.

I took on three jobs and sacrificed weekends just to buy more BNB. Not because I predicted a surge — but because I was willing to bet on its future.

Then came 2020 — the year of the black swan. On March 12, global markets collapsed simultaneously. Crypto assets plummeted overnight. I sat at home, glued to my trading app, watching my balance turn from green to red to black.

That night, I didn't break down or cry. I just felt utterly hollow inside. But the next day, I opened Binance as if nothing had happened and kept studying. Because I knew: prices may fall, but conviction is what keeps you standing.

2021 — I Graduated College

I didn't send out resumes or apply to companies. I stayed in crypto — trading with real funds and researching early-stage projects.

Then the breakout happened. That year, BNB soared from tens of dollars to hundreds. Project tokens surged one after another. My holdings kept doubling.

Until one early morning, I refreshed my trading account and realized — my assets were nearly at $900,000.

Strangely, I didn't feel euphoric. Just a profound sense of relief. It meant the past few years weren't wasted. That perseverance truly pays off.

From 2018 to 2025, I've endured countless cycles. My portfolio has multiplied by 10x, 100x — and crashed 90% too. I've doubted myself many times, but I never truly surrendered.

This year, I decided to stop staying silent.
