Day 7 – My Portfolio is Now Fully 3D

Today I made my portfolio come alive in 3D. Instead of plain sections with just a small canvas, I started building the entire page inside a 3D scene.

✅ Day 7 Tasks Completed

  • Added a 3D background/hero section with @react-three/drei/Text

  • Centered a floating 3D name/title in space

  • Added basic lighting (ambient + directional)

The effect is already night and day compared to before — the scene feels alive.

Then I replaced the placeholder spheres with ProjectCard3D objects:

  • Real project covers mapped onto planes/boxes

  • Better materials (gradient, matcap, subtle lighting)

  • Clean layout (grid/arc/circle) so projects look organized

This is the turning point — from “plain site with a 3D hero” to a truly interactive 3D portfolio.

💡 Key Takeaway

Small touches like lighting and typography can instantly transform a 3D space from “flat” to immersive.

You can see how it looks for now on the cover of this article.
