TimeTracker X: New Features for Better Productivity

In my previous article, I wrote about the core features of TimeTracker X — a plugin for JetBrains IDEs that helps integrate with popular task management systems (Redmine, Jira, YouTrack, ClickUp, Clockify, Toggl, Harvest, Paymo, Teamwork, Asana) and track time directly inside your development environment.
Since then, the plugin has received several important updates that make working with it even more productive:
🎯 Goals
You can now plan how much time you want to spend on a specific project:
set a custom period (for example, a month or two weeks),
or use a weekly plan.
This is especially useful for part-time projects, where it’s important to see if you’re staying on track with the planned time.
📊 Statistics
A new section with handy charts and summaries has been added. It helps you quickly understand:
how many hours were spent,
which projects and tasks took most of your time,
whether your workload is distributed evenly.
🤖 AI Summaries
One of the most exciting updates is the automatic analysis of completed tasks powered by AI. The plugin now generates a short personal summary so you can see:
which tasks consumed the most time,
where you went above expectations,
and where you might want to optimize your workflow.
Conclusion
TimeTracker X is gradually evolving from a simple time tracker into a true productivity tool for developers. The new features help not only log time, but also analyze, plan, and see the bigger picture.
👉 If you haven’t tried it yet, find the TimeTracker X plugin in the JetBrains Marketplace and test it for free.
