Converting a Google Doc to a PDF is the best way to keep your formatting intact and make your file easy to share. The good news is that it’s simple to do right from your web browser on your computer. In just a few clicks, you can download your Google Doc as a PDF and it will be saved directly to your computer, making it easy to email, upload, or store. This guide walks you through the steps for converting Google Docs to PDFs on the web.

🌎 On a Web Browser (docs.google.com) 🌏

1. Open your preferred web browser and navigate to Google Docs

2. From the Google Docs homepage, select the document you’d like to open

3. Go to the top menu bar and click File.

4. Hover over Download, then select PDF Document (.pdf).

5. Your PDF will download instantly and be saved according to your browser’s default download location.

💡 Tip: If for some reason that option doesn’t work, you can also use File → Print → Destination: Save as PDF → Save, which produces the same result.
