Salla Development Store Features
Salla development store offers developers a straightforward approach to creating fully functional stores. Not only does it provide the ability to view the store dashboard and website, but it also allows for the creation of customizable and sellable stores for interested merchants. Moreover, the development stores by Salla come packed with additional features including:

Development Store Types
Salla provides different types of Development stores which are the main common types on Salla platform, as shown in the table below:

| Drop shipping Store | A dropshipping store is an online business model where the Merchant doesn't hold inventory. Orders are fulfilled directly by suppliers, minimizing overhead costs and allowing the Merchant to focus on marketing and customer service. A Development store example of this type will be explained later in this article. |
| Electronic Store | An Electronics Store specializes in selling a wide range of electronic devices, gadgets, and accessories for personal and professional use. It offers a convenient one-stop shopping experience for the latest technology products and accessories. |
| Fashion Store | A Fashion Store specializes in clothing, footwear, accessories, and the latest fashion trends. |
| Jewelry Store | A Jewelry Store specializes in selling a wide range of jewelry items, including necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, and watches. |
| Cosmetic and Care Store | A Cosmetic and Care Store specializes in beauty, skincare, and personal care products. |
Create Development Store
To create a Salla Development store you will need to go to the Partners Portal and click on Development Store under the Stores menu item on the left side of the page.
The system will display the Development Stores page. Click on 'Create New Store' to create a new store.
This will display an information page, fill in the details as shown in the example below then click on “Create Development Store”.

The system will redirect you to the Store Details page, where a confirmation message will confirm the store's successful creation.
Excellent, you have successfully created a Development Store!
Set Up Drop shipping store
After creating the development store you are now able to set up the store based on the type you wish to develop. For the sake of this article, we will go through the details of setting up Drop Shipping development store.
Store Category
On the Store Details page, scroll down to Store Category section and chose Drop shipping category from the drop down menu.
A confirmation message will appear to confirm the store type selection, and the option to connect to Apps will expand in the store category section. As a dropshipping development store, connecting to a shipping App is crucial, which we will explain later.
Store Screenshots
Next is Store Screenshots, which provide a visual representation of your online store's design, features, and credibility. They help attract customers, showcase unique aspects, and aid in decision-making.
You can simply drag and drop images or browse files to add the screenshots.
Once you add the images, click on the green mark to save changes.
Store Description
A store description is a concise summary that outlines the store’s offerings, unique selling points, and overall shopping experience. It aims to capture the attention of potential interested Merchants and encourage further engagement.
On the Store Details page, scroll down to Store Description and write a comprehensive description for your development store in English and Arabic languages and click “Save” button to save the changes.
Store Features
You can fill in the Store Features description to highlight the unique attributes of the store, for instance, product selection, easy navigation, high-quality imagery, detailed descriptions, size guidance, customer reviews, and secure payments. It informs and attracts potential customers by showcasing the store's key features.
Once you have entered the store features in English and Arabic, click the “Save” button.
Store Price
You have the ability to price your development store however you deem fit. Salla has set up a minimum of 599 SAR price range for development stores. Click on the edit button on the upper right corner of the Store Price section.
Enter the development store price and click on the save button to save the changes.
Awesome! You have now created and set up a Drop shipping development store.
Connect Shipping App to the Drop shipping development store
Go to the Store category section on the Store Details page, you can choose from the drop down menu the shipping App you wish to connect with your Drop shipping development store and click on “Connect”.
You will need to authenticate access to the development store, click on “منح التصريح” to allow the connection.
This will redirect you to the Shipping app, Ma5azen, webpage where you can get the API key to connect your development store to Ma5azen App.
After that you the system will ask you to log in to the development store to view the App on your development store.
In order to log in, you will need to use the auto generated development store email and the password you have created for the development store. You can find the store email on the Store Details page.
After logging in your store, you can skip this step to proceed to the store main page.
The system will display the development dropship store home page. Scroll down to 'التطبيقات المثبتة' to view installed Apps.
You can now find Ma5azen App installed on your development store.

Congratulations you have successfully connected your Dropshipping development store to a Shipping app, Ma5azen App.
View development stores list and filter
You can view the list of Development stores on the Development Stores page. Go to Development Stores listed under Stores menu item to view it.
On the list you will find the Store Name, Store URL, Dashboard URL, Email of the store, Status and Actions.
You also have the option to filter the Development stores using the Filter button on the top right of the page.
You can search the Development store by Name, Status or Date created.
Enter the filter option and click the "View Results" button to apply the filter.
View Store website
Salla development stores enable you to view the store website from the view of the Merchant. On the Development Stores page you can click on the Store URL to view the development store website.
This will redirect you to the development store website, where you can see the Development Store name and the store features.
Control the shop using the Store Dashboard
To view the store dashboard, you can go to the development store page and click on the Dashboard URL link of the development store you wish to view.
This will redirect you to the development store dashboard page where you can manage the store products, orders, Apps and other settings.
Submit Development Store for Publishing
Publishing Development Store allows Merchants to view your store and purchase it if they see the store is fit for their business. To publish the Development Store you can go to the Development Store page and click on the three dots on the Actions column of the Development Store you wish to publish and choose Edit.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Store Details page and click on "Submit for review button".
A popup message will appear to confirm submission and inform you that it will take 3-5 days to review your request.
You can follow up on the submission status on the Partners Portal, the statuses will be explained in the next section.
Development Store Statuses
After submitting your Development Store for publishing you can view the Development Store status on the Development Stores page in the "Statuses" column.
Once the Development Store is submitted the status will change to "Under Review". The statuses are explained in the following table

| Under Development | The Development store is not submitted for publishing and is still under development. |
| Under Review | The Development Store has been submitted for publishing and is now being reviewed by Salla |
| Approved | The Development Store has been approved for publishing |
| Rejected | The Development Store has been rejected for publishing |
| Withdrawn | The Development Store has been withdrawn by the developer |
| Purchased | The Development Store has been purchased by a store Merchant |
Purchasing Development Store
After publishing the store, you will be able to sell the development store. The process of purchasing the development store by the merchant involves several steps.

- Share the link with the merchant to showcase the development store and demonstrate its features. You can get the link from the Development Stores List.
Another way to get the store link is through the development store details page.
Steps by Merchant
- Once the Merchant opens the link, the development store's site will be displayed. To view the store details, click on 'Learn More.'
- This will display the store details page, requiring the Merchant to scroll down and click on 'Purchase Store.'
3.The Merchant will be redirected to the login page.
- After logging in, the merchant will be presented with the terms and conditions of purchasing the trial store. The merchant needs to click 'Agree' to proceed.
- The Merchant will then be prompted to complete the payment process.
- Upon completing the payment, the merchant will be asked to complete the store settings.
By reaching this point, you have successfully completed a review of the development stores in the cart. This includes various types of development stores.
